While my Senior year at Indiana University in the spring of 1979, I saw B. B.King and with opening act Guitarist Roy Buchanan perform. I was expecting a good Chicago Blues show from BB, instead saw a Vegas type show. Roy did put on a great guitar blues show. Also, I did see Steve Ray Vaughan play in a small club in North Brunswick, NJ, then I saw him again open for the Moody Blues at the Meadowlands Arena. Both were excellent shows.

We always seem to marvel at these guys that are still at it, but Sinatra, Martin, Bennett, etc. were still performing in their 70's and beyond.

Dylan is 82 and has been on his never ending tour for a long time. Not sure the exact number but it might be more than 100 shows a year. Rumors are he's pulling the plug after this year.

Clipper Mark Maron does a hilarious bit on going to a Stones concert...hoping Mick doesn't take a spill.

I dunno...think they've played several tours over the past 30 years; a few shows had to be canceled due to Tyler's, uh, indulgences.

Steve the singer turned 75 today. There is an interesting connection though...both Perrys were born to parents of Portuguese descent. Original surnames...Pereira.
