So, I'm going on a trip during Winter Vacation and I need some new tunes for the plane ride. I thought it would be fun for some posters here to list a few of their favorite songs of all time. No just artists please, I need specific songs I can add to my collection. Thanks! Here are some random tunes I'm listening to right now to start: Fade to Black - Metallica Superstition - Stevie Wonder 7th Chamber -Wu Tang Clan True Faith - New Order Fly Like an Eagle - The Steve Miller Band Levitibus - Canibus Don't Sweat the Technique - Eric B. And Rakim Under the Bridge - Aerosmith Sweet Child O'Mine - Guns N Roses Oh My God - A Tribe Called Quest Soweto - Hieroglyphics Rebel Rebel - David Bowie Don't Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult For Pete's Sake - Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth House of the Rising Sun - The Animals Fortunate Son - Creedence Clearwater Revival What's Golden - Jurassic 5 Johnny B. Goode - Chuck Berry Short Change Hero - The Heavy

Eclectic stuff, Kay like..
I'm working through Miles Davis again:
Miles Davis with Sonny Rollins Round About Midnight Quiet Nights (with Gil Evans) Sketches of Spain (my fav)
Miles never gets old even though all of the above are older than me.🤓

WE recommend the following songs:
--White Rabbit—Jefferson Airplane
--Take a Walk on the Wild Side—Lou Reed
The above songs best describe the life long Adventures WE have lived, with only more to come.

Take a walk on the wild side is great, only I have NEVER ONCE personally heard a colored girl go: Doot da doot doot da doo doo doot. Maybe they need drugs to do that...

Running late this morning, so will give this some thought this evening.
If you ever, ever decide to let your country side go wild, I'd recommend "The Silver-Tongued Devil" by Kris Kristofferson.
I knew for a long time that Kristofferson did music with that scratchy voice of his, and that he did movies. I was only recently that I discovered that he's written a TON of country songs that other performers have taken to the top of the country hit charts (with some cross-over music).
I regret that I missed him this year when he was performing in Colorado Springs. The man appears before the audience alone with his guitar and a microphone, and they say he delivers a powerful concert still today at age 81. He's an icon. I don't like a lot of country music, but once in a while something catches my ear. I did grow up watching Johnny Cash and Hee Haw on TV, so there were some formative roots that led me to enjoy Kenny Rogers, Glen Campbell among others...

Feel free to suggest any more that are your favorites!

Sounds of Silence by Disturbed. Very powerful rendition of the old Simon and Garfunkel staple...It should fit in well with your list!
Also check out the more serious and sober side of Joe Cocker with "Shelter Me", "Unchain My Heart", "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word", "It's a Sin When You Love Somebody", "Now That The Magic Has Gone", "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me", and finally... yeah, "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window". Every body knows about "With a Little Help From My Friends" , of course.
Sorry, I could give you a million Joe Cockers alone...I'll be back with more. Have to go out to dinner tonight...

Some good guitar work by Mark Knopfler on Down to the Waterline. It's great to see they finally got inducted into the Rock N Roll HOF, long overdue.
