Given how good Scherzer and how generous the home plate umpire was to him I was pleased with the results last night. If I was an opposing pitcher I would throw Sanchez a slider down and away every time and watch him walk back to the dugout. Maybe he will improve as the short season goes along. We need a leadoff hitter.

I would love to see a lead off hitter not named Aaron Hicks. If Hicks, Stanton, Judge, Sanchez, and Severino could stay on the field long enough to live up to their potential... what a bunch we’d have... |
