Should have signed Charlie Morton instead of Happ.

Terrible pitch Happ. Orioles right back in it. That was a bad two-seam fastball that just sat down in the strike zone. I like the four seamer there.

Should have signed Charlie Morton instead of Happ. Or try a different pitching coach with Sonny Gray before they gave up on him. Gray's been one of the best pitchers in baseball since he was traded by Cashman.

16 team playoffs, runner on 2nd to start extra innings, now 7 inning double headers, oh boy.

Happ doesn't have enough velocity for someone who throws like 70 percent fastballs challenging everybody. It’s all about where you put it. Corbin doesn’t throw his fastball any harder than Happ, but he paints the inside, outside, up and down lines of the zone. Cone described that pitch perfectly, a two seamer that flattened out at 88. Colon lasted a long time throwing fastball after fastball.

His splits were awful at home. Different pitcher on the road. Sonny was another Ed Whitson and Javy Vasquez...anywhere but the Bronx. Some just cannot handle Pinstripes and New York.
