We gave up a heck of a lot runs against the phillies who are not supposed to be an elite team from what I have heard. On the bright side I don't think we play them again.

He hit 34 HR's with a .841 OPS and was much better defensively. That's good enough. I think hitting above .220 is required as well and strike outs are worse to me than regular outs. Its an old fashion notion to quote Nick.

I think every hit Montgomery has given up tonight is with two strikes.

He should stop giving them two strikes.

Only 4 hits through 5 but it is the 5 runs that concerns me. Our starters except for Cole have been less than awesome.

My concern about sanchez is that he is a strike out machine. My concern about our pitchers are they are not.

You were concerned that Sanchez has a low batting average. The Phils only have 4 hits (low batting average) but you were concerned they scored 5 runs. Sanchez does make runs despite few hits. His 34 HR last year came in just 106 games. That’s an amazing HR rate for anyone, much less a catcher. Get it? You don’t? That’s what I thought... Never mind...

Sanchez finally goes to RF and is awarded with a 2 run HR.

With that we pivot Pivetta! Back in the game as Gary the Kracken is released...
