Great pictures, thanks for posting them! Despite loving baseball and growing up so close to the HOF, I've never been to Cooperstown. I'd like to make a trip someday with my son. Sure Chi! I'm sure you and your son would love it! I will definitely go myself one day!
And I can tell from knowing you all these years that you make the best father! Your kids are lucky to have you!

This brings a tear to my eyes, because I know in my heart that it’s true. Chi strikes me as a kind, loving family man that would do anything for his wife and kids... ✔️

This brings a tear to my eyes, because I know in my heart that it’s true. Chi strikes me as a kind, loving family man that would do anything for his wife and kids... ✔️ Having inger as a father or a crazy uncle would be a riot! I do the crazy uncle act very well. First, when the babies are at the infant stage I refuse to hold them. I tell the parent that I’ll be back at a about age three. That’s the age where the kids cease being so breakable, plus the orifi tend to not be in constant leak mode. Snot, spit, urine, crap, even ear wax just constantly ooze out of the little buggers until they suddenly become remarkably bouncy with flexible bones that I needn’t fear braking. I like them when they reach the age where you can throw them up in the air hi enough that you can see the fear of death on their face until you catch them on the way down...Being crazy uncle can be FUN...

LOL, I'm the crazy uncle to my best friend and cousin's (I introduced them) 4 year old. I spoil that kid so much.
Edit: Here I am with the 300 dollar toy I bought him for his 4th bday -

Great pictures, thanks for posting them! Despite loving baseball and growing up so close to the HOF, I've never been to Cooperstown. I'd like to make a trip someday with my son. It’s a wise idea to include your son. In some ways the place is a bit of a let down. It’s not a very big building, kind of cluttered. The value on going would be much greater if you have someone that’s truly interested to share it with. Probably over-whelming to some, especially the younger you are, and the less history of the game you know. I was forty, I think. My son had no interest in the trip at all, and stayed with his grand mother. My wife was there, but had very little interest... Thanks for posting the pictures kaybli! Brought back memories. Please thank your brother. I agree with inger. It can be a let down, so it's important to have someone else who wants to be there. I've been twice. Once with my brother, who was very interested. It was also a beautiful fall day and Cooperstown is gorgeous. Even though it's smaller than you'd think, we took our time and really enjoyed it. The other time was with Mrs. DeSousa and she wasn't that interested. We were in and out in about an hour. It was also the day of the HOF Game that got rained out and the town was really crowded.

Cool that you and your brother went there and enjoyed it, desousa! (Even if Mrs. DeSousa didn't lol) My brother had a real good time though I think his wife might have been a little bored at the end. I'm planning on going one day. I have to go just to take the picture of DiMaggio's plaque that my brother missed!

I don’t know if it’s allowed, but I had to reach out and touch Mantle, Ruth, Gehrig, Whitey, and Berra. No one said anything, so I guess it was okay. Of course that was in pre Corona virus days.
Some of the items surprised me, like there were pitchers 1500th strikeout balls and such that I found to be a reach for being significant. The old gloves, old cleats, old anything were cool to see. The former Mrs. Inger was actually pretty decent about being there, but I knew she was not into it much at all. When I think about that trip, including the Niagara Falls leg and ending at the HOF before scooting home, it may have been the last time we had fun together.
We had ridden on the “Maid of the Mist” at the falls and got soaked together in the ponchos, just a bit cold and laughing. It was the last day of the year to take the boat out, so we were lucky to be able to ride it.
Now, I’m confused a bit on the year. I think I was 44, not 40. Yes. It was 1998. We separated in 2005, divorced in 2009 or 2010, or something like that.

I doubt that I would go again, especially now that we’re so far away. Ruthie cares/doesn’t care about baseball. It’s sweet that she roots for the Yankees despite not having watched them before we were together. Says it makes her happy to see me happy. She calls balls and strikes from her seat, which is much easier to do with the little square on the screen than it was years ago, and offers opinions on certain types of plays. Then other times she goes and does something else...
