. I doubt that I would go again, especially now that we’re so far away. Ruthie cares/doesn’t care about baseball. It’s sweet that she roots for the Yankees despite not having watched them before we were together. Says it makes her happy to see me happy. She calls balls and strikes from her seat, which is much easier to do with the little square on the screen than it was years ago, and offers opinions on certain types of plays. Then other times she goes and does something else... INGER: Maybe You, Ruthie and I could go together to the HALL??? WOW!!! That would be an amazing trip... Or a whirlwind tour of America! See the largest ball of twine in the world in Iowa. Carhenge. Mt. Rushmore (we can go before they add Donald to the sculpture). See the whales breach in Alaska. Go down inside of the cone of a volcano. Go inside of a breaching whale. Why must whales have breaches? Do they wear suspenders? Nothing is impossible, right?

Nothing is impossible... with some hallucinogenics.... LOL Awesome pics Kay. I went to the HoF as a youngin... Also, that statue of the Babe that your bro took... I had a 2 foot (maybe foot and a half?) replica of it... I had to leave it behind in NJ Had it since I was a little boy. I never realized it was a replica of the statue in the museum... until I saw that pic and was like WOW, a life size version of my statue..

Has anyone been to the Negro League Baseball Museum in Kansas City? I'd love to go to that someday.

Has anyone been to the Negro League Baseball Museum in Kansas City? I'd love to go to that someday. Honestly... didn't even know it existed... Closer to me than Cooperstown. I'd like to check it out and I'd like to go back to Cooperstown. Now that Inger mentioned it, I went to Niagra Falls as well, I guess same trip as the HoF.

Unless you enjoy smoke stacks spewing forth the emissions of industry...

The thread title makes me think about “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”... My brother went to The Hall of Fame To up his Baseball game He was way behind From fighting the virus So he wanted To go see Cyrus (Young) When he got To the Hall he had a ball Soon took a sip from his Kerig A nd right then he saw Lou Gehrig *********** I guess I’ll cut this off here, but you can just feel my talent oozing out of me, can’t you? the title makes me think of the old saw that someone went on a cool trip and brought me a t-shirt. true story: once on a cruise trip to Alaska, ,my wife bought me a T-shirt. not so bad, you say? It was a T-shirt from Tahiti that had been unsold in Tahiti. It was on a bargain table. Of course it was a bargain, and thus must be purchased. Neither one of us have ever been to Tahiti.

Kaufman Stadium is a great place to watch a game. I was in KC for a conference once, and I tried to go to the museum but they had just closed. So, I ate BBQ ribs and chicken at Arthur Bryant’s and took in a game at Kaufman Stadium. People were really laid back and friendly at the game. This was during the week, so most were season ticket holders. I saw a young centerfielder hit a home run and throw an absolute bullet to nail a runner at home...Carlos Beltran. Tony Pena was the manager.

Love that kind of shopping... Love the way people look at you when they ask you how you liked Tahiti and you relate the story. Besides, now if you ever get to Tahiti you can pick up a bargain on an Alaska tee-shirt...

Tony Pena was the manager. Great story, you can make the case that Beltran belongs in the HOF. I'm not sure how much this trash can scandal will hurt him. Kaufman is one of favorite ballparks that I've been to and I was there in the old days, when the place still had astroturf. They have since renovated the park and it's supposed to be even a better fan experience.
