Top 5 in the line-up went 0-18. They went 0-16 just the other night. We got 4 hits and Andujar got 3 of those. Aaron "Booneraker" Hicks got the other. Just terrible.

They better wake up soon or they won't even make the expanded playoffs.

I didn’t realize it was an early game. Missed it entirely. Tough to win games scoring only one run.

Just watched the game. I don’t understand Boone lifting Tanaka. He was cruising. An over reach by Andujar caused a single on a easy grounder that Wade was waiting on, then an even easier grounder but there was no one at shortstop because of the ridiculous shift on Ruiz, who has beaten that same shift previously. The good news is that Miguel Andujar finally looked like the Baseball America Rookie of the Year from two years ago, hitting the ball hard where it’s pitched to all fields. The first hit he got on top of a high fastball out of the zone on a hit and run for a solid single to center. The second was a ball low out of the zone that he laced in the hole between short and third. The third was a triple to the corner of right field on a fastball away. If Boone sits Andujar tomorrow...Kaybli, I told you the plan previously. The other good news is that Sánchez had no strikeouts today.

Boone doing what he does best, pushing the wrong buttons. Andujar is definitely sitting tomorrow.

I've seen enough of Estrada and Wade.

I've seen enough of Estrada and Wade. We need hitting so bad that I have to agree. Thinking about some really bad third basemen with a big bat that held down the hot corner on a long-term basis: Butch Hobson Harmon Killebrew Bob Horner Tony Perez (much better at first) It can work. It’s not my preference. I want good to great gloves all around. When injuries strike or when a good glove isn’t available then it can be wise to supplant with a strong bat. What else can we do? All Wade or Estrada had to do was hit .250, maybe Tyler steak a base now and then or Thairo run into a couple HR’s. Didn’t happen. Wade has failed yet again. Thairo swings at almost every pitch....

Wade is obviously very athletic, with great speed, but he has never gone on even a small mini-streak in hitting that would lead to the belief that he might develop into a ML hitter. It will be time to move on for the Yankees. With the injury history of the Yankees, the backup infielders and outfielders play a lot, and they can't be weak hitters.

I’ve always been a Wade supporter. I thought he needed some consistent play. That situation has failed to manifest. His time here will be over soon...
