As bad as Green and Ottavino have been, if the Yankees had a good defensive first baseman, this inning would be over with the score 6-3. This team has been giving away outs all season. You said it.

Really, who couldn’t see this coming?
Stanton Voit Ford Andujar
All DH’s
Sanchez too... if he could hit...
Estrada Wade
Good field, no hit...
The catchers feature a guy that can’t catch nor hit, a forty year old that’s been hitting .200 for a decade, and a guy that hasn’t drawn a walk since 2018.
Mistakes have been made. I actually blame the defensive failures of the team more than anything else. Cash has to get over his fear of trading away bats with no other value...
The makeup of this team is not the greatest even when we’re healthy...

LOL, letting Jansen get the grand slam. I'm just laughing now.

I miss Tex's defense. DJ was good at first in the games he was there last year, but then that puts error prone Andujar at third. We were spoiled for a long time by the likes of Mattingly & Tex.

Wow, Ottavino, Cashman's 8.8 million middle reliever couldn't get one out and gives up a grand slam to .155 hitting catcher.

It’s a great strategy, really. Clears the bases, a real rally killer! Plus the next pitcher won’t be throwing any of those high-stress pitches... 😂

Cone seems to know this team better than the management staff

I thought losing 3 out of 4 to Baltimore was the low point but that last inning tops it. That was really difficult to watch.

It only took Boone 29 pitches each before he realized that neither Green nor Ottavino had it today. 58 pitches, one out. Six straight batters and zero outs until he lifted Ottavino.
