Oh Boy. The college football game is a blowout as well. I have been back and forth between there and this Yankee game. I just don't get what has happened to this team.

I wish Schmidt would have thrown that curve ball the other night in Baltimore. Give the bike back to your son, Chi. This is beyond anything he could have helped with...

Thank goodness we didn’t make any moves at the trading deadline. I also forgot to add to my earlier rant that our SS is an adequate second baseman that appears to be in over his head at short stop. I believe DJLM would be better at SS than Torres. Urshela, too... This turf in Buffalo is a lot like the stuff in Toronto and Tampa and I've noticed the Yankee infielders really struggle on this fast stuff. D.J. seems to be the only guy with above average range and gets to balls that aren't hit right at him.

Strange, the last two times the Yanks gave up 10 runs in an inning, Anthony Bass has closed out both games.

The Yanks are now 21-20 after starting the season 16-6. Even with the injuries, I never thought they would fall this far.

I don't even know what to say anymore. This team was built to hand over leads to their bullpen after 5 or 6 innings and let them close out the victories. It just isn't happening this year. Green’s problems began when he didn’t pitch for ten days in the middle of August. He hasn’t been the same since. Team hasn't really been the same since they got swept by Tampa and instead of playing the Mets got the weekend off plus the Atlanta rain out causing an entire week of not playing.

Boone sounded like in his press conference that multiple bullpen guys needed rest still.

Boone sounded like in his press conference that multiple bullpen guys needed rest still. Maybe he should consider allowing starters to work out of trouble.

Boone sounded like in his press conference that multiple bullpen guys needed rest still. He can't be serious. Besides maybe Holder, they are all still well rested.

There comes a time when the players have to be better and go out and make plays. This team has one guy that plays with any kind of confidence, DJ. All the rest let things get to their head and whimper in the corner. Sad thing its not one area that is struggling. Time for guys to look in the mirror.

He said he didn't really think of pulling ottavino earlier because he didn't want to use cessa and wanted to stay away from Clark to get his length back and since he wanted to stay away from some guys he would have gotten to a position player situation to pitch eventually. Just makes no sense to me.

Boone should operate his bullpen as if he still has Betances and Kahnle, except they are named Schmidt and Nelson. If not, then indeed, why are they at the major league level. He also should allow starters to throw 100 to 110 pitches, let them work their way out of trouble and pitch into the sixth and seventh innings, unless they have completely lost the strike zone. Guys like Cessa and Yajure should be used as long men. Cole, Tanaka, Garcia, Happ, and Monty are your five starters. Monty could have pitched through the fourth inning today. Tanaka could have pitched through the sixth yesterday. Garcia could have pitched through the fifth two games prior to that.

Boone's quick hook on his starters always backfires.
