Why is sanchez batting 8th...frazier is batting .300. Sanchez is awful. That makes zero sense to me. Boone must be using one of the those new fangled SEM models to pick his line up... **************************************** One thought..If Sanchez makes the third out in an inning, now the next inning you have Frazier, LeMahieu, Judge, Stanton, Voit, Torres etc. That is a quite imposing gauntlet for a pitcher to run. I like it better than Sanchez batting 9th. The old “second lead off hitter” scheme, Chief. You should’ve called down the cone of silence before you said that out loud. Oh. I’m the one that said it. Missed it by “that much”. Or was it “this much”?

Great job not paying any attention to the runners, Montgomery.

Luis Tiant is the answer to the trivia question. Nice Chi! Or at least I think it is. Pitching was so dominate then that MLB lowered the mound to help the hitters.

With all these rules changes MLB is doing, when are they going to get rid of that stupid rule that a player can reach first base on a strike three wild pitch? No player should ever be rewarding for striking out.

Hitting hard IS NOT the way to get hits. That continues to confuse. **************************** bunting is better?? Some of our long history here. Russ used to be a great proponent of bunting, but has relented a bit the past couple of years. He has also stated that the route to base hits it to “gently steer the ball away from the defense”... 😂

At bats like that is why Montgomery hasn't really made it yet in the big leagues. That's an out you have to get in a close game.

Let’s get the bats started. We knew 0-0 was risky in Fenway, right?... Just found out this one is televised in time to see the 3-run bomb... crap. Wish I didn’t know so soon. What was the trivia question, Chi?

I am slowly getting to "know" some of the posters here. Most are quite astute, I find.

I still think it is a useful tool in the play offs
