At bats like that is why Montgomery hasn't really made it yet in the big leagues. That's an out you have to get in a close game. If you want to keep it a close game, that is... dammit. Let’s get the bats started. We knew 0-0 was risky in Fenway, right?... Just found out this one is televised in time to see the 3-run bomb... crap. Wish I didn’t know so soon. What was the trivia question, Chi? Bob Gibson lead the majors in ERA in 1967 with a 1.12 ERA. Who lead the AL?

Still not a bad job by Monty today. He had that one bad pitch. Otherwise he worked his way out of trouble. Its on Cessa to hold it here and the offense to come back.

I am slowly getting to "know" some of the posters here. Most are quite astute, I find. You aren’t so “inastute” yourself... 😂

Frazier reaches base for the second time. Why is he hitting 9th?

Happy birthday to former Yankees first baseman and forgotten AL Home Run champ, Nick Etten. In 1944, the lefty hitting Etten lead the AL with a disturbingly low total of 22 HR. He was 30 years old at the time, afforded more playing time because of WW2, Etten also lead the AL in bases on balls that year with 97. In 1945 he followed up his HR title by leading the AL with 111 RBIs...

The Yankees put out their best lineup of the season and of course they are getting shutout.
