Drifting off ahead of ourselves... well just me doing it, really... one of my off season plans is to see what I can get for Torres...There’s just something there that tells me to make a move... one of those things is his glove, and another is a lack of baseball savvy... let other teams come to us, but pull the trigger if it looks good...

The upside is too high to sit him, Russ. If this were a typical season and this slump were hidden within early and late at bats, it would be bad, but not as noticeable as it is. Gary Sanchez IS the starting catcher of the New York Yankees. You say facts are your reality? Well, that’s a fact, Jack! ... what is the upside of being a .140 hitter who strikes out as much as he does Prior to this season, he had an 121OPS+ ... since you like stats so much.. |

In the last two nights Sanchez has a HR, 2 doubles and a hard lineout to RF. Much better AB's than what we've seen this season. Out of 50 games. I prefer the 50 games rather than two to assess a player. People do strange things in small sample sizes. |

what is the upside of being a .140 hitter who strikes out as much as he does Prior to this season, he had an 121OPS+ ... since you like stats so much.. I on't think he has ever recovered from the injury. |

Even if he’s no longer a .250+ hitter, he can turn a game around when he makes contact... |
