Agree with everything you said above dome. Hopefully Sevy can come back. We need him. I would give Tanaka a gold watch and thank him for his service. I'd take a handful of magic beans for Sanchez. It wouldn't take much to pry Hicks away either. This is the third year in a row he hasn't hit a lick. The only things that concerns me though about trading him is I don't think we would get much for him AND with the injuries we have had(including Hicks) our outfield could be painfully thin. It will be a challenge to win a World Series with our roster as it is. Not enough starting pitching depth and too much swinging and missing. I hope I am proven wrong. THANKS Bearman (Love your NAME, as does Tequila!!!).
Lets just look at the FACTS (we need to put aside emotion!!!)
Tell me, PLEASE, the last time when the Yankees went to the WS & WON? = NOT PRETTY HUH???
YES I have READ all your Justifications as to the WHY!!! (hee hee = is all I can say, after reading such =INJURIES, etc.)
The team as it is made up NOW, has proven it will not TAKE us to a Winning WS (Watch them do it this year now that I have stated such???!!!)
This TEAM ROSTER along with coaches, etc. needs a somewhat of a major Refitting -- AND WE need to have a Realistic Plan of getting to the WS = NOT trying to get their every year just leads to Disappointment for ALL.
AND we need to something about the damn "too much swinging and missing."
MORE AFTER THIS SEASON & PLAY--OFFS END.

We need Cashman to go away... IF he's the one demanding all these rest days for the players... whoever is dictating that needs to go away.. and it could actually be the cause of the injuries...

Off topic on the Tanaka game Dome but I loved the game this past Tuesday when we beat the Blue Jays 12-1. Masterful performance by Cole. No home runs or errors but more importantly we were 8-11 with runners in scoring position. I believe this type of performance is what we will need to be successful in the post season, although I do realize Cole can't pitch in every game.(Remember Spahn and Sain and pray for rain, maybe we need to pray for rain).
