Going back to my playing days, I've long held that umpires were pond scum. Appears nothing has changed. That plate umpire was just terrible.

Well let's put it this way.. The Tanka decision I think works in the Yankees favor. Lets say the Yankees pitched him tonight and lost now its Game 3 with Tanaka done for the Series with Garcia, Happ, who knows against Morton in Game 3. They do have a strength tomorrow in that department, but it still stings a bit that this game was winnable.

They are ripping the Yankees on the post game. I turned it off. What are they saying? Theme basically is how do go in with a game plan of a 24 out bullpen night when you have 2 rested starters. Kay going off about how you are banking a lot on winning tomorrow, because if you don't then the season is on the line with Montgomery in Game 4 if they won tonight that isn't a problem etc.

Wasted a big time opportunity tonight. Happ came up small. Very and made the Yankee decision makers look like dopes.

The rays scored 5 in the first 3 innings. You have to wonder if Garcia stayed in does that still happen.

Happ : I was told I was coming in prior, Yes I was confused by the move "initially." I just didn't perform and I'm not going to make an excuse now.
Prefers that he would have started normally, but he wasn't trying to worry about that in regards to the decision "They knew how I felt about it."

Someone asked if he felt he was put in a position to succeed and his answer to that was he "That's not a question for me to answer, when I'm out there I'm trying to do the best I can."

Flaherty saying while he feels Happ is being a professional lets be real pitchers are creatures of habits and routines and Happ's usual routine is not starting the game in a second inning trailing.
