I turned it off. What are they saying? Theme basically is how do go in with a game plan of a 24 out bullpen night when you have 2 rested starters. Kay going off about how you are banking a lot on winning tomorrow, because if you don't then the season is on the line with Montgomery in Game 4 if they won tonight that isn't a problem etc. Thanks anthony! I'm not sure if Deivi will be available in Game 4 or not after throwing 27 pitches this game. If they lose Deivi due to starting him as an opener today, it was a stupid move for sure!

Someone asked if he felt he was put in a position to succeed and his answer to that was he "That's not a question for me to answer, when I'm out there I'm trying to do the best I can." Entering a game that was 1-1 surely would seem to have an equal opportunity to succeed or fail as much as starting one tied at 0-0. Reporters always try to find a point of pain, even if the pain doesn’t exist. I guess again it comes down to the wisdom of sticking with traditional baseball or trying to utilize the new levels of gamesmanship that the game has fallen to in recent seasons...

Then its a really stupid decision. Why blow two starters in one game? Yankees screwed this one up for sure.

It seems like every time the Yankee pitchers are allowed to go length and figure it out the Yankees win more times than not. When they do these weird things it seems like they are like "Ok offense we trust you to get 10 runs today."

Deivi wants to prove he’s a horse that can carry the team when his turn comes to be the ace. I like that. The previous future aces have been babied. Hughes, Chamberlain, Severino. Banuelos. Brackman. All treated like babies. Don’t make Garcia another one. Jump on his back. He’ll either carry you or not. Just don’t leave doubts...

Like I said this feels so much like the 2nd game in Houston last year where they didn't HAVE to win, but COULD HAVE and then you try to map the rest of the series and its like they could win, but this makes it harder. The difference between that one and this one the Yankees were able to score off both Snell and Glassnow and neither shut them down. Plus you only need 3 wins to advance here not 4 with Tanaka not used yet. There's also no Verlander/Cole waiting.

The way this was played by the yanks appeared more like they were fmdoing a SNL skit if they start of game two than a legit attempt at using an opener.

So lineup changes for tomorrow? Higgy in for Sanchez. Otherwise, same lineup. Maybe move Stanton up if you dare.
