As bad as the Yankee game 2 strategy appeared, we’re in a much better position in game 5 than Tampa is. What happened? Did Cash outsmart himself into this corner?
And what happened tonight? Seems he left his bulk man in a bit too long. Seems instead of using that A bullpen he backed down...

As bad as the Yankee game 2 strategy appeared, we’re in a much better position in game 5 than Tampa is. What happened? Did Cash outsmart himself into this corner? And what happened tonight? Somehow the Rays failure to come through in the third inning made their “death by a thousand cuts” offense seem to fall impotent. The length of the two Yankee homers along with that sweet little tack on run in the ninth sent strong messages to Tampa about the Yankees potency... The sound of the bat on Voit’s homer in that near-empty minor league ballpark reminded of some Roy Hobbs batting practice clips... |
