I haven't read this whole thread so forgive me if this is redundant. Tanaka has fallen off some but I believe I would still rather have him that Stroman. To me the two most interesting players to see what happens to moving forward are Torres and Sanchez. Can Torres' defense improve enough to keep him at short stop? if not what do we do with him and with the position?(for sure I am not advocating getting rid of him). More interesting to me is what do you do with Sanchez. He has surely lost his hitting stroke and in my opinion his lack of ability to catch a splitter(or most anything) limits the pitches our pitchers can throw. I would like to see us package him with a reliever and trade them for prospects. Before or after that though we would need an option at catcher such as Realmuto or McCann. Maybe another defensive catcher to split time with Higgy. Just some thoughts.

And then maybe they can make a short term contract offer to Morton or Kluber. I wouldn't mind McCann at catcher either. I don't think we're going to shell out the bucks for Realmuto. |

Gio was robbed. One error on the season. It was a routine grounder, too. More assists, put outs, double plays, better fielding percentage, and fewer errors than Kiner-Falefa, which I believe is what ranchers feed their livestock. |
