Just a few thoughts for you fellow Yankees' fans about this winter:
1) they've got big hopes for Austin Wells and smaller hopes for Anthony Siegler at Catcher. Josh Breaux, too. Don't waste big bucks on the position. Higgy is good defensively. Sign Jason Castro. Castro/Higgy would make a good tandem. You don't need great offense everywhere. Both Higgy and Castro can play defense and have some power. Or trade Sanchez to Colorado for Tony Wolters.
2) re-sign DJ LeMahieu, period. Move him to 1B. He can play elsewhere, whenever.
3) Offer Luke Voit for a pitcher. I'd try to get Kyle Freeman from the Rockies.
4) Sign Didi to play SS. Move Gleyber back to 2B.
5) Re-sign Paxton. He'll be better.

Thanks for your input, Kimo! Your moves do solve the logjam in the infield but I'm hesitant to trade the HR champ especially for mediocrity like Freeland. I would sign Didi but only if God forbid DJ left. I wouldn't mind Paxton back on a one year deal but I'd still like to get some other pitchers too like maybe Morton. And I agree with you on not wasting big bucks on catcher though I think McCann can be had for 10 million a year, not much more than Sanchez.
I have a request for you. Please sign up and become a regular poster! We could use the new blood! LOL.

I do agree with Kimo that you don't have to empty the bank for a catcher. Look at the Dodgers and Rays, catchers first, hitters second, none of them expensive.
I want to resign D.J. and keep him at 2nd base, I don't like moving him to first, where is excellent 2nd base defense can't be utilized. In addition, Voit is cost controlled, so you get a lot of power and on base skills for a very affordable price.
So, save money on catcher and spend to improve the rotation, we need another starter.

NO NOT FRAZIER OR ANDUJAR
YES TO TRADING SANCHEZ.
New York will need to fill a number of holes in its rotation, with three starters hitting free agency and Luis Severino still recovering from Tommy John surgery. German's return helps, and it's expected several of the young arms coming through the system will be ready to take on some innings, but a team with World Series aspirations will need to upgrade.
Even with Cole, Yankees starters ranked 12th in ERA in 2020 and allowed the fifth-most home runs.

Our expectations for our pitchers should be tempered somewhat in such a good run scoring ball park. Especially expectations that they won’t give up HR...

We also must remember that with a sixty-game schedule, any awful stretch inflates ERAs. Cole led the Yankees with 14 homers surrendered. Tanaka and Happ were next with 9 and 8, respectively.

Players are held to standards, both good and bad in a short season, which is quite unfair. Gary Sanchez hit .125. That’s nasty. But he only had 152 at bats. If the season had been long enough for him to get 392 at bats (like he did in 2019), and he could have gotten hot, going 69 for 240 (.288) he could have matched his 2019 BA of .232 for the season.

IF the METS use their SAVING $$$ on CANO the right way = like on a DJ--J.T. Realmuto --Springer etc. combined with their SP they could be a player for Post Season.
Three moves Mets could make with Robinson Cano's 2021 salary off the books

Cano doing the Mets a favor. He’s not going to get his 3000 hits, either. These guys take these chemicals to play better. Then, they get suspended and don’t get to play, anyway!
