What was that poster we used to call the doorman with all his inside sources? Joe something? JoeBee? Yes! The guy that told me he knew I couldn’t hit because I said I was proud of my defense and loved being in the field... I’m glad Chi figured that out. I might not have slept tonight trying to come up with that... JoeBee... lol...

I think the Yankees want to add some left handed balance to the lineup, but it's going to be tough with the roster pretty much set.

I made the pronouncement of 5 years for 100 million dollars for LeMahieu on this forum weeks ago. Has Cashman stopped reading my posts? [img class="smile" alt=" " src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/YNYHoCFKqruGiGxicSWF.gif"]

Smart for the Yankees not to give in right away on the length of contract... DJ could turn into a first baseman within 2-3 years. Most likely by that time he’d be a first baseman with a good glove and a bat sub-standard for the position... If only the Yankees were this conservative three years ago, when the traded for Stanton, who still had 10 years left on his absurd contract.

After more thought on the matter DJ:
I would do $27 Million/year for ONLY 3-Years with a Team Option Year -- PLUS there would NOT be a 'No Trade' clause.
After 3-years he probably will become a Retread (Numbers drop, etc.) UNLESS he is one of the SO FEW Special Ones...
Trade him and SIGN --Brad Hand--Liam Hendriks OR.................
Yankees right-handed reliever Adam Ottavino has come up in trade speculation, though the 35-year-old unsurprisingly said this week he’d like to remain with the club (via Ken Davidoff of the New York Post). “I want to stay on the team. I want to prove my worth. I want to pitch well,” he told Davidoff. “I want to finish what we tried to start these last few years and win that title and all that.” Ottavino had a great first season with the Yankees in 2019 after signing a three-year, $27MM contract, but the former Rockie’s run prevention numbers took steps backward during the previous campaign. He wound up with a horrid 5.89 ERA in 18 1/3 innings, though Ottavino logged a 3.52 FIP (not far from the 3.44 mark he posted the prior year) and 12.27 K/9 against 4.42 BB/9.
I THINK THE METS ARE GOING TO SING SOME OF THE BEST FA'S --Cash better get off his ASS..
Mets, James McCann In “Active” Talks.
AH Jesus the World has gone MAD!!!
