We shop from the scrap heap because all we need is to get out team healthy for the first time since. Since. Yeah. Since. How many years does it take a Yankees to play a full 162- game schedule? ...

What do you mean inger? I don't follow It was from Dome’s post (but spell check changed Noesti to Noetsi). I haven’t the slightest idea what Noesti was... (see below): Cleveland Got ROBBED. Why didn't we try for this trade -- Maybe our Menu is Full with Allen, Noesti, Warren??? Oh, I missed that post. He probably meant Nestor. Not our pessimistic buddy.

It’s a fantastic trade for the Mets. They received another solid starter to complement arguably the best pitcher in MLB, as well as possibly the best all-around shortstop in baseball. On the other hand, the Yankees got DFA’d Padres outfielder Greg Allen. [img src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/YNYHoCFKqruGiGxicSWF.gif" alt=" " class="smile"] On paper, looks like the days of LOLMets are over for now. I'll miss all the giggles. If they sign Springer too, they will be a budding powerhouse. I didn’t know they were after Springer, but he could be a game changer if he can play centerfield for them.

I couldn’t find Noetsi’s stats anywhere on line.

Not premium CF, but average... should play well with his bat. I wonder if he’d be allowed to take a trash can or two with him when he packs his stuff from Houston? ...

McNeil, Springer, and Conforto would be a stout outfield.

No swinging strike outs, but he did bunt the third strike 22 times. The bloops were hard bunts. He was the anti-DiMaggio. Only bunted, never swung away... Speedy little fellow. Used to carry his toupee and false teeth in his back pocket...

Schwarber gets a low one year deal from the Nats. The money is not flowing in MLB free agency.

3 teams that totally blew it by not signing Japanese star Tomoyuki Sugano (???)
New York Yankees AL East
If this past season prove anything, it's that the New York Yankees need a solid No. 2 pitcher behind ace Gerrit Cole. We saw how much that hurt the Yankees in the postseason, specifically in their Division Series against the rival Tampa Bay Rays.
This offseason, the Yankees are set to lose three pitchers to free agency. Masahiro Tanaka, whom New York won the competitive bidding war for back in 2014, is exploring his options on the market as well as entertaining the idea of returning the NPB. J.A. Happ has a snowball's chance in hell of returning to the Yankees, especially with the vesting option controversy that took place this past season and his outburst over his use in Game 2 of the ALDS. James Paxton is coming off an injury-riddled campaign and it's unknown if the Yankees would be willing to bring him back on another contract.
Tomoyuki Sugano would've been New York's best chance of rostering a solid pitching rotation in 2021. They'd have Cole and Sugano at the top of the rotation, while rounding it out with Luis Severino, Deivi Garcia and Jordan Montgomery. Oh well, they can always try to sign Sugano next year.
