Phillies announcer reading the lineup pronounced Voit as “vote.” I guess he has never watched the Yankees or bought athletic equipment during the 1970s. Really? The reigning AL HR leader with the most popular team and you can't pronounce his easy name? [img class="smile" alt=" " src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/cYJDdrfMoRBryreIqHCt.gif"] He corrected it during the game. The Phillies really had a team approach at the plate. Patient, look to hit it up the middle and opposite field.

Today, the Yankees team needed a pacemaker. [img src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/YNYHoCFKqruGiGxicSWF.gif" alt=" " class="smile"] Yankees had three hits, one a bloop single, another a broken bat single. Meanwhile, the Phillies had six home runs.

I think I'll watch Devi pitch and delete the rest.

Close to full lineup with German pitching up against "Trade him for Gleyber" Matthew Boyd!
245 innings and 54 HR allowed total in 2019-2020 Boyd. One we can be glad we didn’t do.

Who wanted to trade Gleyber for Matthew Boyd? I don’t recall that one.

Who wanted to trade Gleyber for Matthew Boyd? I don’t recall that one. That's what the Detroit GM asked for and everyone laughed at him.

German getting ahead early but seems to need a finishing pitch. Gets the final out of the inning on a fastball away for a strike out. According to Bob Lorenz and Jack Curry, he’s no longer throwing a slider.

Every time I see John Heyman’s name, I think of the David Bowie song, Suffragette City.

I don’t get the theory that Aaron Hicks is going to have a “big year” offensively (and hitting third). Hicks is 31 years old and has had over 90 hits in a season once (119).
