The lineups are not yet posted, and on most sites the noted pitcher for the Yankees is the always tough TBD; however, the New York Post reported the Yankees have elected to employ the inane and irritating “opener” contrivance according to Michael Kay, with Nick Nelson, followed in relief by Michael “The Falafel” King, who pitched six shutout innings on April 4, then for some reason was relegated to the alternative site for his sterling effort.

Just start King, not this opener nonsense. Ah, well. Hope this plays out better than our last series with Tampa. At least no Trop Dump.

I'm with you guys. If King is good enough to be the "bulk guy" -- and I hate that there is even such a concept-- why not let him start. If he starts to suck, then bring in Nelson or whoever.
Everybody is a strategic genius these days.

Everybody is a strategic genius these days. Yhe Yankees want to be all traditional when they acquire a guy like Odor. They spend hours scrubbing him up and shaving him. Then when it comes time to stand up and chose a starting pitcher they throw tradition out the window with Odor’s bath water and opt for a starter. Be a traditionalist, or don’t be one...

At least I’ll be out working when the game starts. I’m thinking I should join you guys around the 7th or 8th inning. I’d like to be there to help Aroldis loosen up out in the pen...

Aaron Boone confirmed at the start of Spring Training that Frazier would be the starting left fielder, however two weeks into the season, that has already changed. Following a three game stretch in which he went without a hit, Frazier was benched in three out of the team's next five games.
Still treating Frazier like a redheaded stepchild:

I sure didn't expect Odor to become the everyday second baseman so quickly. At this point it seems like they might as well drop Bruce and bring up Ford.
When you're bumped from the lineup for Stinky, it's time to start looking for another job.

Yankees brain trust has turned into a "Confederacy of Dunces". Start King, play Gardy in center and Frazier in left 5 days a week and dump Bruce. I think they should have kept the versatile Dietrich in NY and sent Bruce home.

Meanwhile, Cashman’s Guy Hicks has his confidence and certainly is “going to hit.”

Ignatius and his flapping valve. I'm not sure if that's what you're referring to Desousa, but I'm guessing it is. Rizzuto surely knows of that New Orleans author.

Nelson walks Meadows right out of the gate. Can we please get Arozarena out today?

The Yankees might be out of this one before Nelson records an out.
