I agree with all that you said. I do enjoy his HR calls and Yankees Win call just because they're so goofy. I we’re lucky we’ll make it to 83 one day. Few of us will still be working at that point. Even fewer will be making a salary like his. That’s quite an accomplishment... But the end is near for John in his profession... Fans who remember Phil Rizzuto only as an old grandpa who needed to leave early would never know that in his early years he was quite perceptive and engaged in the game. Scooter did coast for many years, though. |
