The concerning thing about this team is most of these games are low scoring.

Judge is a moron for going to third, Boone is a moron for waiting to challenge, and the umpires are super morons for missing the call and not allowing the challenge. This is the type of games that bad teams lose, with too many mistakes on the field and the base paths and a manger that doesn't have the in-game instincts that the great one possess.

The concerning thing about this team is most of these games are low scoring. Which is to say, despite our defensive inaptitude and lack of length from our starting pitching... we could be losing by a lot more. I’m clueless why we aren’t...

Sanchez is also still terrible. How bad does it have to get to get him out of the lineup.

Like I get it's still April 26th, but.....other than some signs of life in Cleveland these same mistakes keep showing up. So at what point do we take this team for face value and not just work on what ifs? The whole team seems to have the attitude like these losses don't count the wins will come team is too good on paper etc.

There is a silent message sent out to a team when a player has underperformed for a lengthy period of time and he doesn’t lose his job. We’re seeing that happen right now with Sanchez and Torres.
So not only is the message being sent out that if you fail you get to keep playing, but those players begin to weigh the team down. Those two seem to be a constant drain by their performance as well.
I think it’s time we not only get Sanchez out of our lineup, but we find him a new team. I truly don’t know what the best move to make at short stop is. We know it’s unlikely that Tyler Wade is going to hit much better than Gleyber, but we know he’ll play his heart out on defense.
To me these two players remaining on the roster is an untenable situation. I suppose Gleyber could play second base for a while. Maybe that would wake his bat up. I don’t expect much out of Odor, especially now that we’ve made him the cleanup hitter.
Is this pushing the panic button? Probably a bit. But the team must turn this season around within a couple weeks, or I would say it’s time to get some action going.
Sanchez is so bad that he’s a DFA candidate. Torres probably still has value as a second baseman somewhere...

Heartily agree with the sentiment, but there were 5 batters, count 'em, 5, in the line-up hitting under .200. Gardner is under .200 as well, i think. Guess it's not surprising since the whoke team is hitting barely .200. Sanchez is the one that needs to sit since he's had more than enough time to turn things around. Hicks, too, as far as I'm concerned.

Hicks, too, as far as I'm concerned. I have a feeling that the Yankee coaching staff is giving Sanchez a pass on hitting because he’s working hard to change his catching style. I’m not going to say they should or shouldn’t. I can’t fathom what anybody is thinking about Gleyber. That bat has been dead for about sixty games going back to last year. His defensive stats are such that he has a slightly better than average fielding pct. vs the league this year, and his range factor is only slightly below league average. But none of that is making me forget that the 2 errors he’s been charged with don’t reflect what I’ve seen, which indicates he should have at least 6 and maybe 8. This from a shortstop that fielded .933 last year and was being counted on to step up this year. We have to do better than that with the glove at short stop. The first baseman can’t continue to be charged with errors on throws that are a tough handle and the pitching staff can’t keep getting charged with hits. Believe it, those guys are suffering from watching and likely talking about this among themselves. Just so you know, I’m down on Hicks for his long-term slump, too. I am giving him some credit for playing when he was still recovering last season. Don’t count on this being the end of the ranting. I’m calling what I see...
