Wow. Bregman looked bad the first couple of games, but that was a sharp play...
Ryan, put the broom away, but make sure you can find it in a few days, okay? Thanks for your time today...

Really gotta fix the DP problem You can’t fix anything about that last one. A rocket, a splendid play. Sometimes when you do everything right it just turns out wrong...

Except for the thanks, that sounded like an old west threat! , all depends on how you read it. Yikes. After returning to the scene of the crime, I see I might have worded that more artfully. I meant it more as "your day of leisure will come soon enough" than "say your prayers, pardner." But I think Kaybli took in the right spirit. Now both of you, reach for the sky.

Yeah, during 20 or so years on the air, Marshal Dillon heard a lot of things more than once. But he never did settle down with Miss Kitty.

But he never did settle down with Miss Kitty. They probably should have settled together. On the last reunion show neither one of them had a face that stood the test of time... Just think how things might have gone if John Wayne would have accepted the role of Matt Dillon, or had recommended a different actor... I’m sure other actresses competed for the role of Kitty, too... Sometimes the universe just gets it right and nothing can stop it...

I wonder if Festus ever made a move on Miss Kitty when Matthew had to leave Dodge to transport a prisoner. I doubt she would have taken him seriously. Burt Reynolds was a regular for a few years as Quint the blacksmith. And Sam the bartender at the Long Branch Saloon was played by an actor named Glenn Strange, who earlier had played Butch Cavendish, the nemesis of The Lone Ranger. It was a solid series which always seemed to treat its audience respectfully.

Don’t forget Glenn Strange also took over for Boris Karloff after he retired to play Frankenstein’s monster...He darned near didn’t need make up with that chiseled face, head shape, and his height. I always wished they’d have let Sam step out from behind the bar and whip a little bit of ass. I guess if they had, we might not have needed Matt enough. Might have just changed the show to “Sam, The Bartender of Dodge City”... No all Sam got to do was either pull out the shotgun or run and get Matt...A couple times he was clubbed over the head. Matt was hit over the head so much he should have been smart enough to invent a cowboy hat out of metal and hat Quint make him one... clang! Bang! Bang! ...

Excellent Glenn Strange knowledge Inger. You know your old D-list actors.

Excellent Glenn Strange knowledge Inger. You know your old D-list actors. Glen is Matt Dillon in the third dimension right now. He’s enjoying every minute of it, but I hear Arness doesn’t like working the bar. Except when there are no customers, and he can sneak in the back with Kitty. That’s why he stays...
