It's easy to forget that Scherzer started with Arizona and came to Detroit as part of a three-way trade with the Yankees (who primarily got Curtis Granderson out of it.) When he signed that seven-year contract going into his age 30 season it seemed like a gamble. It sure paid off. Scherzer may be the reincarnation of my childhood German Shepherd. Big, burly, loyal, dangerous, and they have the same eyes. And Scherzer is definitely a German name. He's something else. |

I'd rather walk Soto with the bases loaded than lay one down the pipe to him. I was pleased with Kluber’s approach, just needed to clip that inside corner a couple times. |
