This lineup is embarrassing. They can't do anything against the ancient Rich Hill. I'd say a crafty southpaw, but the way they are swinging he could be a numbskull southpaw and get them out. |

When Hill is getting that “fast” ball over and the curve on the same day, he’s tougher than rawhide. The release point is the same on both. The fastball gives the illusion of rise and the curve is late, sharp and 12-5. He has spin rates that are in the 90th plus percentile on his best days. They seldom drop below the 80th percentile... Nice information, Inger. Almost makes me feel better about the shutout thus far. I didn’t realize his spin rates were that high. |

Ten more Ks for Tampa tonight. They lead the majors in Ks by a fairly wide margin and have about 80 more than the Yankees.
