Just for the record, I might not be on the game threads much for the next week and a half. We leave tomorrow for a horses and bourbon trek in Kentucky, via The Greenbrier in West Virginia. But I will for sure be checking in. We're also visiting the Hillerich and Bradsby facility in Louisville for the factory tour. I've been there a few times in the past but it was before they gave factory tours. I did get to swing a Honus Wagner bat. It was like a miniature telephone pole. Anyway it should be fun. Lots of horse farms and distilleries, plus a bit of spelunking at Mammoth Cave. It's a beautiful part of the country. Sounds like a great time! Have fun pipps!

Looks like the exact same people behind home plate as last night. I am beginning to recognize them.

As you know, I found KY a nice place to visit, but I didn’t like living there. If you can find the time... We went to the Natural Bridge in Slade, KY. When we got there I was thrilled to find the Reptile Zoo. The Natural Bridge was one of those “okay, you’re impressive” sights. You could catch a glimpse of the cars passing several hundred feet overhead. Done. Now, let’s check out the snakes! When I was there they were billed as the largest collection of poisonous snakes in the world. If it’s poisonous, they have it. Protocol was for your very knowledgeable guide to knock before opening one of several exhibit houses in case someone was in the process of milking a snake. They do experimentation and sell the venom for anti-venoms throughout the world. I saw an anaconda that was something like 22 feet long, but that snake may not be there any more as they now bill an 18- foot reticulated python as the largest resident. There are other reptiles there, and not all creatures there are poisonous, but even my ex had to confess the display was interesting. I believe they had this shut down at one point during COVID, so a call ahead might be wise. I believe they open in late morning or afternoon so that most of the “snakes out” work is completed before visitors arrive. Anyway, I’ve never had a better reptile experience in my life, and would go again if the opportunity arose...
