Just in case Rondon needs a little jinx, he’s pitching a no-hitter... Isn’t he one of the guys King Kong fought? I can't remember if Rodan tangled with King Kong, but he was often switching sides with Godzilla, sometimes an enemy and sometimes a staunch ally. He did some of his best work in "Destroy All Monsters" when he laid waste to Moscow and was invaluable in destroying the three-headed fire dragon. He helped establish peace on Monster Island, a move which showed how much he had evolved from his days of baiting Mothra and siding with Gammera the flying turtle.

That’s just lack of time playing beside each other. Both were calling for it. Miggy just didn’t hear Gardy until it was too late. To me, Miggy had the better angle on his glove side. Shouldn't the LF defer to the CF there? I thought that was the rule on close calls in the OF. He did defer, which is why the ball hit the ground. But, they’re both calling for it. If Miggy hadn’t deferred, he catches it easily.

Credit the score keeper for giving that error to Andujar and not Gardner. Monty pitches around it. Andujar got the error because he was closer to the ball than Gardner. He should’ve caught it and not worried about Gardner calling for it.

It was routine play for Gardner but Andujar is an infielder trying to play a LF at Yankee Stadium, a difficult place to play the position.

He should’ve caught it and not worried about Gardner calling for it. The ball was in Gardner's glove and Andujar caused him to drop it, due to his poor instincts. He can't play the OF or the infield and he can't hit. The only reason he's here is because the Yankees feel Florial and no one else is good enough.

Sorry for the flying blind questions, but I see Gleyber's HR was to right. Was it just into the seats or did he give it a ride?

It was routine play for Gardner but Andujar is an infielder trying to play a LF at Yankee Stadium, a difficult place to play the position. The ball was a routine catch for Andujar, too. Andujar was actually closer to the ball, he just didn’t hear Gardy until they were both next to each other. The more they play beside each other, the easier they’ll be able to play balls like that one.

All this slobbering over Rondon, but Monty was more impressive, going one more inning against a much better lineup. Heck, everyone shuts the Yankees down.
