How? It looked to me like he deferred as soon as he heard Gardy. They were just both calling for a ball both could catch. I have to see the play again. It just looked really clumsy to me on Andujar's part. Maybe Gardy called for it too late. Both were calling for the ball simultaneously. And, rightly so. It was a ball both could’ve caught. Sometimes, there is no one to demonize. They just haven’t played next to each other much. Sometimes both can do the right thing, when the wrong thing by either would have resulted in an out. |
