I've heard that Bird's first injury occurred when he dropped his baby rattle and it hit him in the eye...

You do know this is your fault don't you, kaybli?

I've heard that Bird's first injury occurred when he dropped his baby rattle and it hit him in the eye... Thought it hit him in his foot. Ugh.... Maybe it explains his horrible spring though and hopefully it clears up soon

In order... My top replacements for Bird if he goes on the DL...
McKinney... Austin... Walker... Andujar...
Of course I would like Votto... Freeman... Goldy... But let's be realistic here

Two months of rehab seems excessive no?

And so it begins. Although I guess one could argue that it started with Ellsbury, but I think injured is Ellsbury's natural condition.

Injured is the preferred position for Ellsbury, unless another outfielder gets hurt besides him. Then we can tolerate his health...
Bird is simply a tragic tale at this point...I just hope he gets to come back in 1.5-2 months and be a living TERROR at the plate...

What the hell??? This goes to show the importance of depth. The Yankees, the team with too many outfielders is now playing a young man with no MLB experience...or WILL be playing him. If this was the Girardi era, all McKinney would be asked to do is pose for his picture...

I blame kaybli. When you start an injury thread, it's like a vaccuum. Nature abhors a vaccuum so it is soon filled with the lame and disabled. You people never learn.

I'm guessing Frazier is still dealing with issues from his concussion? Scratch that, just saw that he was recalled. I'm eagerly awaiting Andujar's getting some playing time.

Well, it could be worse. Next man up! Let's go McKinney!
