Posada was a poor baserunner, indeed. Bernie was no great shakes either, though he could motor around them, especially second to home. Mr. G was a good guy with a positive attitude, and to think of all the health problems he had, too. Yeah, I was thinking of Bernie too. I spoke with MrG just a few days before he died. We were making plans to meet for lunch. You would never have known he was so sick. I never actually got to meet him. He had the classic New York accent. He was a salt of the earth guy. I spoke to him and emailed a few times over his last few months. We were miles apart in some ways, but mostly in sync. He loved to beat on Noetsi. Said that was his favorite thing to do. I recall how often he used the old bang head emoticon. He’d have worn that out this season. Sanchez ALONE would have worn it out...
