Cole’s fastball command is not sharp today. His velocity and spin rate are masking some poor locations catching too much of the plate. Yep. And you can tell he knows it very well. Even at 75 percent he is shutting them down. Except Austin Meadows of course. |

My wife is reading Bram Stoker's "Dracula." Renfield seems to be even crazier in the novel than in the movie. Some disturbing dietary proclivities that I don't recall being so vivid in the film. The book is wonderful, and not much like anything that has made it to the big screen. Even the one with Gary Oldman in the early 1990s miscast Keanu Reeves then for some ridiculous reason invented/inflated the character/role played by Winona Ryder. At least, Van Helsing was entertaining with Anthony Hopkins. I've only ever seen the Bela Lugosi version, which is iconic and atmospheric but painfully slow. I am always impressed with your literary knowledge. Are you by any chance an aficionado of Thomas Wolfe? I know he gets terribly verbose with purple prose, but he was one of my college favorites who I have never been able to toss aside because I associate him so strongly with literary discovery. |

Flying, diving Frazier lays back on the possible third out. Then he decided to throw the ball into a neutral zone... We’re giving some away...
The entire play by Frazier was wrongly conceived. He tried to deke the runners with two outs. Not gonna work, they’re running no matter what...
