Even when the Yankees lead games its like they let the other team stay in the game too much. Not that 2 hits and 2 hrs in 4 ABS straight happens that often, but still...

Velocity down tonight for Chapman. Hope nothing is wrong. famous last words. Chapman either has something wrong, or it was a mechanical problem. Wild, velocity down, couldn’t command the slider. He was due to get beaten eventually, but he hasn’t had pitches look like that all season.

That was what I call a stunning finish… It reminds me of the Grand slam off Mariano years back. Who was the little turd that hit that anyway? Thinking. Mark Loretta? Not sure…Doesn’t matter. I hate games when Chapman’s velocity is down…

I hate games when Chapman’s velocity is down… No, it was Marco Scutaro. I was at that game. Just before the pitch, I told my buddy that Scutaro likes fastballs up in the zone, and that’s where the pitch was. The one place Scutaro could hurt you. This was Nelson Cruz, a brand name, though Chapman didn’t get a single out in the inning.

I just hope Chapman isn't hurt.

I just hope Chapman isn't hurt. It didn’t look like Chapman at all. Hopefully, it was just mechanical.

I thought that was a grand slam, but according to baseball fever’s account it was a three-run homer. Bill Shelby hit a walk off slam off Rivera in 2002. Do you also recall it as a grand slam? For me, I had gone to bed with knowledge that we had a two run lead with Scutaro (thanks for reminding me of that part) at bat. I saw the score change in a crawler on TV. I think it was an ESPN crawler… and thought… no… can’t be…

Good news: Stanton is killing the ball again
Bad News: We won't see him in the lineup again until next week
