I guess Clint is out in the cold. And deservedly based on his performance. I would like to think that he has a Miggy-style resurrection still in him. I still believe in Clint! His nickname is too good for him to suck forever! Right? Right?

I would really like to see these lineups tried at some point: 1. DJ LeMahieu (1B) 2. Aaron Judge (CF) 3. Gleyber Torres (SS) 4. Giancarlo Stanton (RF) 5. Luke Voit (DH) 6. Gio Urshela (3B) 7. Gary Sanchez (C) 8. Miguel Andujar (LF) 9. Tyler Wade (2B) 1. DJ LeMahieu (2B) 2. Aaron Judge (CF) 3. Gleyber Torres (SS) 4. Giancarlo Stanton (RF) 5. Luke Voit (1B) 6. Gio Urshela (3B) 7. Gary Sanchez (C) 8. Miguel Andujar (DH) 9. Brett Gardner (LF) Our best infield is the first (actually Wade would be SS and Gleyber at 2nd, but that would be too much change in the middle of a season). Stanton played most of his career in right field and was solid. Gardy is used to playing left, which is a lot of ground to cover in YS. I suspect Stanton might be less apt to pull muscles if he played the field more and not treated like he’s 40 years old. Somehow muscle groups have to stress themselves to get stronger and resilient and responsive. I would love to see the first lineup.
In the second I don't know why you'd play Judge in CF over Gardner. Make it CF Brett, RF Judge, LF/DH Stanton/Andujar.
Easy explanation: Judge has not played left field and played centerfield in college. Gardner has to cover just as much ground in YS in left as in centerfield and has played nearly twice as often in left in his career than center. Stanton was a right fielder his entire career before the trade to New York and RF in YS has the smallest area to cover. Stanton cannot cover as much ground as Judge or Gardner. So, Stanton’s best position is right field. Judge’s best position is centerfielder rather than left, where he has never played. And, Gardner can play either as well, but has played primarily left field throughout his career.

Maybe, or like Robinson Cano, perhaps he doesn’t burn to win championships, as Mariano Rivera once said of Cano. Both happy to be starters on a MLB team, making major league money, and happy to have the additional time off if they don’t make the playoffs. I hope I’m wrong.

If he had just a little dose of fire. But I agree with you guys, I am not seeing it. On the other hand, I could not have foreseen Andujar's rapid defensive improvement either. Maybe the realization that he was dangerously close to blowing the whole gig concentrated his mind.

At this point, Frazier has more upside than Gardner. Hopefully he'll start hitting soon. Gardner is so streaky, so you never know what you're going to get. I noticed Odor isn't in either lineup. Hmmmm....

Hmmmm.... I like Odor as a teammate, he seems like a good guy, but he just doesn't produce enough to stay in the big leagues.

Odor I guess is just your 25th guy right now you start once a week or so and hope he gets a clutch hit. He def has more power than Mike Ford or something, but he needs to shorten that swing.
