Good news: Stanton is killing the ball again Bad News: We won't see him in the lineup again until next week I forgot about that. There's no chance he plays a game at LF in an NL ballpark you think? Probably not. Stanton should play in right field, Judge in centerfield, and Andujar in left. Frazier can sit, but that would be treating them like ball players and not investment property.

Only good thing about this they are still right there for the WC so they haven't fallen too far back yet those losses in Detroit really sting right now though.

Well if these last two games show us anything its you need all the runs you can get no matter the lead. Losing out on the Urshela out at home and Gittens HR were big.

Well he might as well go visit the Rocky statue and get a cheesesteak after his lone AB then.

Sheesh, I fell asleep with the Yankees comfortably cruising going into the bottom of the ninth and then I read this.
Actually it's better to find out the next morning. At least I got a restful night of sleep. It's already ancient history.

Right this is the issue like they should have had 10 runs at least. I mean you win the series and whatever, but losing those 3 games to Boston put them in a situation where anything less than a sweep here basically just took 3 days off the calendar and didn't get them much closer. I mean though regardless 2 runs up in the 9th inning you win most of those. You do wonder though if the Urshela run scored and the Gittens HR wasn't foul the lead is bigger than 2. Similar to that Tigers game they lost in the bottom of the 9th. The Twins outfield defense did a fantastic job of stealing extra base hits tonight … if those plays hadn’t been made we stomp the crap out of them. I’ll harp on defense again for those of you who have forgotten how much I harp that I want skilled defenders at as many positions as possible… they also had the fluke wild pitch play where Geo got thrown out at home plate and Gittens's almost 2 run HR. How bad was that for Gittens? Still looking for that firs hit.

Aroldis Chapman entered with a 0.39 ERA, having allowed one homer all season. The Twins entered down by two runs, having not mounted a ninth-inning comeback all season.
You’ve got to go back to Aug. 5, 2019, to find the last time the Twins hit a walk-off homer. You’ve got to go even further back to June 18, 2016, to find the last time Chapman allowed multiple homers in a game. You’ve got to go all the way back to July 5, 2014 -- when Chris Parmelee, Kendrys Morales and Yohan Pino roamed the Twins’ dugout -- for the last time the Twins walked off against the Yankees.
And as far as Statcast is concerned, you can’t go back far enough to find the last time Chapman had allowed homers of 438 or 457 feet -- because he hadn’t ever allowed blasts that long since the system began tracking.

Something was really off with Chapman. Let's just hope its not an injury.

Me too Kaybli hope it's nothing. What annoys me further is you are going to have these types of games from time to time just wish it wasn't a time that the Red Sox lost 2 of 3 to Houston. What also sucks is I feel like the Yankees have played pretty well against the AL elite of Chicago and Houston winning series vs both while Boston didn't win any vs both of them.

The Yankees have had 35 division games already. Tampa 26 Boston 21 Toronto 21 Baltimore 23 Who makes this schedule?
