I dunno CHI i just feel like baseball is going one direction and the Yankees are going another. The fact its June 13th and the only national televised TV game has been 2 games vs the Red Sox it's like baseball has gotten all these new young stars and the Yankees are just kind of "there".
Even Gerit Cole and Aaron Judge aren't getting the national attention they usually get.
All you hear about is the dodgers, tatis jr, ohtani, degrom, the young blue jays, etc.
Yet you keep expecting the Yankees to be ok since they are still close enough in the standings yet game after game they are behind over and over, someone is playing out of position, someone is making a goofball play.... etc etc

They showed a stat on yes while the team has scored 6.8 runs a game the last 5 games they have given up 6.2 runs a game... Maybe cracking down on the sticky stuff contributed to both?

The last time Nola pitched as many as seven innings was April 24. He's well-positioned to do that today.

Thats another annoying thing how many times have we heard the worst bullpen in baseball, this pitcher hasn't won in a month, this guy hasn't got a hit in 50 abs. Yet the Yankees come in and give it all up to these bums.

I was about to say stupid play by Harper, but he made it. Wandy Peralta time.

I'd throw in stale and plodding. They move station to station on the bases and they never makes things happen or put pressure on the other team's pitchers. They just sit back and wait for the HR. They're not good defensively and they terrible on the base paths. All this starts at the top with Cashman and poor roster construction. And it's not just at the major league level, check out the roster at AAA Scranton. There's a lot of non-prospects there. www.baseball-reference.com/register/team.cgi?id=b2fd258e

Like the in past a guy would come up from AAA and maybe light the world on fire for a month etc. So far anyone thats come up has mostly just fell into the same spell the rest of the team has...

I dunno I just feel like you have to make a decision that if some of these guys aren't going to produce consistency they need to go theres like 4-5 holes in this lineup daily cause of either rest or a planned day off.

I'm sorry for all the ranting guys that Twins game just kind of broke me. That was prob their best offensive game all year and they still left a million guys on base and lost.

Odor with the latest baserunning hilarity. These are the kinds of things the 1962 Mets did.
Do they even know it's wrong?
