Kepler is also a decent athlete who has back up CF skills and a strong arm. I’d take him…

Cash making the big moves. Maize, you're going to have to explain this to me because I don't get this at all. So you don't believe in Park, you want to sell high on him, there's a 40 man roster crunch next year, fine. But this was all you could get for him?

Cash making the big moves. Nice numbers against righties, unfortunately lefties hit .295/.434/.492/.926 against him.

Kaybli, was clear they didn't value Park that much at all given he got no PT the last few weeks. He's obviously not a top 50 prospect or anything, but was shocked they didn't at least get him in there to provide some on-base skills when the lineup desperately needs that and LHB. I think we all knew they were gonna use their infield depth in trades to add talent to the roster, but it seems like a waste of a couple prospects having good years in AA/AAA. Giving another volatile reliever to a manager who doesn't know how to manage a BP sounds like fun though. This hopefully ends Nick Nelson and Brooks Kriske though.

He has 72.8% ground ball rate.

He has 72.8% ground ball rate. If only we had an athletic infield, Trevor Story deal coming? Not a huge fan of Story btw but that'd help the defense tremendously. It'd be just the Yankees style to get a GB pitcher while they have a subpar defensive group.

Interesting about Park
Notably, however, the Yankees outrighted Park to Triple-A, however, indicating that he went unclaimed on outright waivers at the time of the move. The Pirates (or another club) could’ve had Park for free at that point, were they willing to dedicate a 40-man roster spot to him. The 29 other clubs passed. The Bucs will now pick up his rights (without having to dedicate a 40-man spot) and hope he can continue to build on that breakout showing he’s enjoyed so far in Triple-A this year.

I thought he came up because of a COVID situation so he was not put on waivers for another team to claim when he was sent back down.

No, Park was one of the COVID replacements, so he could be added and removed from the 40 man roster without going through waivers, Brantly and Allen are in the same boat, but, they might want to keep Allen as a reserve OF, even when Judge comes back.

Hoy Park will likely get a solid opportunity to get to the big leagues with Pittsburgh, who traded their all star second baseman Adam Frazier to the San Diego Padres.
