Tell me why Yankees shouldn't go get Kris Bryant? Yes he's paid $19.5 million this year so Hal will say no at the remaining money for August/September, but the prospect cost shouldn't be too high since he's a rental. He's exactly what this team needs, he's also a star who can play 4-5 positions. Oh and it wouldn't hurt to try and woo him for a few months and try to sign him this winter. We are so gonna regret trying to penny-pinch in the midst of Gerrit Cole's prime aren't we? Very familiar with Kris Bryant. He’s a tremendous athlete at 6’5” and can play all three outfield positions and has a legitimate right field arm. He’s equally good at third base and easily handles first base, too. Beautiful right handed swing with plenty of power. He’s not a base stealer but he’s a good baserunner, much like Aaron Judge, just sixty pounds lighter. The only downside of Bryant is he’s a bit streaky. If I’m Chicago, I’d resign him but I don’t think they will. The Cubs would likely want a haul for him even as a rental, probably in the area of starting pitching. Someone like Gil et al. |

Max kepler also supposedly being looked at maybe a package with Berrios? That could be sweet. Kepler hasn’t hit well this year, with a Gallo-like .211, but he should be a .250 hitter with OBP skills and 20-30 HR pop. Berrios, is certainly still a talented arm that we could use… |
