He's injured right now, but Boston can afford to be patient there and they didn't give up anything.

Hearing some rumblings about Luke Voit to the Brewers.

Jays gave Twins their #2 and @4 prospects for a season and a half for Berrios. For the Yanks that would have been Schmidt and Peraza. I might have done that if the Twins picked up Barrios' tab the rest of season.

To me one of the more interesting aspects of these trades(I really like the Rizzo trade) is what happens with our roster after all this shakes out. We've got a bunch of parts: Voit, Wade, Gardner, Allen, Florial and Odor that I doubt will all be on the major league club. My thought is Voit will be traded and one of Allen and Florial will be sent down. I like the contributions of both those guys but Boone likes him some Gardner and Wade. It will be interesting to see what happens.

The whole AL East got better, except for Balitmore. Still no one is going to beat the Dodgers if there rotation stays healthy.

Cedric Mullins is a tasty treat, John Means and Trey Mancini, too. Are they just holding back for today? If so, the clock is ticking…
