The whole AL East got better, except for Balitmore. Still no one is going to beat the Dodgers if there rotation stays healthy. The Red Sox only got Schwarber so far who could be a big signing but is still injured. I wonder about Schwarber in Fenway. I don’t know if hitting to left field is in his tool kit. That’s an awful deep right center field… |

Jays gave Twins their #2 and @4 prospects for a season and a half for Berrios. For the Yanks that would have been Schmidt and Peraza. I might have done that if the Twins picked up Barrios' tab the rest of season. I'm with you, I would have done Peraza and Schmidt. But not Volpe and Medina. |

Interesting that Baltimore isn’t in wholesale trade mode. Cedric Mullins is a tasty treat, John Means and Trey Mancini, too. Are they just holding back for today? If so, the clock is ticking… Mullins is under control until 2026, Means till 2025. Maybe they want them to be part of their future nucleus.
Mancini is only under control for this year and next. Hard to imagine they will be contending then.

The Chicago White Sox are finalizing a deal to acquire closer Craig Kimbrel from the Chicago Cubs, sources tell ESPN.

Damn a lot of fun going on, as I pack for Brazil and can't monitor so much. Take-off is 630pm, land 530am Brazil time. Peep you guys tomorrow hopefully after a win and another trade or two.
