Well in a perfect world I would have liked a better starting pitcher and some more bullpen help but I'm happy with the moves overall. |

I guess the figure they will get back both Severino/Kluber and Gallo/Rizzo will help with the soft August schedule. Voit is still on this team dunno how close he is to coming back.

A couple years ago in a game against the Yankees, I recall being impressed with Heaney’s stuff. We ended up getting to him, though, and knocking him out of the game. He’s excellent insurance should neither Kluber nor Severino come back successfully. Also, it enables Cortes to fill a bullpen role.

So I guess you just swap the DH spot between Voit and Stanton which with how inconsistent both are might not be the worst thing ever.

The Yankees should never been in the position where they had to trade for two hitters. This team has failed a lot.
I do like the fact Cashman didn't get carried away and trade his top prospects. I actually like the Rizzo move a lot. He will be the best fielding first baseman to play for the Yanks this season. Good clubhouse guy, nice OBP and should be helped by the short porch. I hope Gallo gets hot right off.
