Like Phoenix rising from the ashes -- from this day forth we move to conquest. Did you just threaten to burn Phoenix down? I once had a neighbor that actually thought it was pronounced P-Ho-Ee-Nix. At the time we lived on Phoebe Drive, which she though was P-Ho-Ee-Bee. Luckily, they were living on the next street over, so she wasn’t in a position where she had to say it that often. I wonder how much time she wasted trying to find Feenix, Arizona on a map? I wonder if she was even able to find Arizona, or even a map?… She had a good heart, she really did, but she was born deep in the mountains of North Carolina. The sun didn’t penetrate those woods much, if you get my drift… Good thing she didn't have to deal with Ronkonkoma or Wachapreague

I totally expect them to make these 3 games up vs the Angels and Mets while the Red Sox get a trip to Oakland. Yet they prob will get swept next time they play the Red Sox in a couple weeks the way this going.

He struggled with certain aspects of English. It had to be very confusing with her speaking both languages with a heavy accent… and he doing so as well with another heavy accent. They made it work though… I in dealing with words that were several syllables long she would simply and unabashedly say, “I can’t say this one”…

A chance to make up for this atrocity.

Not all of them were intentional, but she took almost any jab in stride. I recall once we had a good achievement at work and shen offered a dinner out for her and her husband she quickly blurted out that she had been hankering for one of those $6.00 dollar cheeseburgers Burger King had been advertising. I know you’re from North Carolina. I figure she was in a holler somewhere near Asheville, because she met her future hubby while they both worked at a huge greenhouse there. She was a laborer and he was a professional grower. I actually love the American South East, but stayed away from that area because of the humidity…

But i wonder how she dealt with all the Indian names up that way. Probably could say them cause she grew up with them, but not spell them.

It's pretty bad that Cole's starts are like not anywhere near a guaranteed win anymore.

Cole won't be pitching again till the Mets series. Curry said that the Yankees scoring % for any runners on base is 11%. That is insane for it to be that low.

So that means the Yankees scoring numbers are so low that when you add in only runners on first it LOWERS to 11% that's like almost impossible to do.
