Hicks is at best a 4th outfielder. He can't hit his weight. He's a switch hitter who can't hit a lick from the left side. Forever mystified by what the Yankees see in him. Plus his defensive skills are eroding. The only reason to keep Hicks on the roster is Kaybli's photoshop collection of him and Cashman in love.

While I unfortunately agree Noetsi that Hicks will be our starting center fielder next year I believe that is more due to the situation we are in with Frasier and Gardner. Thank you Gardner for your service but it is time for you to go and take Clint with you. I don’t see us replacing Hicks, Gardner and Frasier all at once so I figure Hicks with his contract will stay. There is nothing in Hicks past that would indicate he will become much more than a 1-2 tool player but I would bet a shiny nickel Hicks will be our starting center fielder next year, at least for the 60 games he is healthy.
