Earlier today I watched the full TV broadcast of Game 7 of the 1952 World Series. (Spoiler Alert: The Yankees won.)
Anyway after the third inning, Red Barber noted that the first three innings had been played in a crisp 30 minutes.
This game was pushing 1:40 and counting when the game was halted.

Michael Kay wondering why Sanchez isn’t in the running for the MLB All-Star Game. Perhaps because for April and most of May, Sandwich was terrible and at one point lost his starting role to Higashioka. Had Higashioka stayed hot, Sanchez may not have gotten the chance to emerge as a threat in June.
