Since anthony deemed Locastro worthy of a new thread, I've moved all the posts concerning him from the Trade thread to here.
Locastro today! Locastro tomorrow! Locastro forever!

I very much prefer Locastro to a lad once knew who was named Hicastro. The Hicastro’s had a rather snobbish approach to life, especially in the eighties, when wood stoves were all the rage. They got a brand new one, the latest model. Then Mr. Hicastro decided he needed a new chain saw to cut wood for the stove, followed by a new pick up truck to haul the wood in. There were were various wedges, axes, a log splitter and other tools I had scarcely ever even heard of. The pile of wood surrounded their house and their chimney puffed smoke every single day all winter. In fact, the fire company had to go there once because the chimney caught on fire. Their son smelled of smoke in the new checkered flannel shirts every day in school… We we’re so jealous. I wonder what they did with all the money they saved…

I figure any move the Yankees make is "thread worthy" at this point since there might be very few of them lol.

Did anyone remember that Tim Locastro was once with the Yankees (granted, not even two months)? Transactions below: June 7, 2013: Drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 13th round of the 2013 amateur draft. Player signed June 12, 2013. July 2, 2015: Traded by the Toronto Blue Jays with Chase De Jong to the Los Angeles Dodgers for two international bonus slots. November 21, 2018: Traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers to the New York Yankees for Drew Finley (minors) and cash. January 16, 2019: Traded by the New York Yankees to the Arizona Diamondbacks for cash and Ronald Roman (minors). That was certainly one of the many things that flew under my radar. It's almost as if they re-acquired Mike Tauchman. From what I am seeing out of San Francisco, Tauchman has become something of a folk hero there despite the continued crappy hitting. He has made at least three late-inning game-saving catches and has apparently had several of his meager hit totals in key spots. No, I don't wish he were still a Yankee, there are way too many like him. I wonder if Frazier's dizzy spells are concussion-related and maybe why they got LoCastro. And who gets dropped from the 40 man roster? Cashman doesn't seem to have much faith in the guys in Scranton, which must be really discouraging for them. I can't imagine what it's like to play in the Yanks minor league system knowing that you'll probably have to get traded to get a chance to play in the majors.

No matter what numbers are being put up, you don’t get a chance because….what? Based upon what? What is it that the want to see? If you are an outfielder or a first baseman, and you cannot get a chance this season, then why remain in the organization?

I don't understand why we made this trade.

I don't understand why we made this trade. It’s just a minor move. Locastro might be here later this season. Then again, we might make a bigger trade later and he may either be DFA’d or flipped within another trade. He’s not really intended to be a difference-maker. His base-stealing acumen is attractive…

You have to get on base for speed to matter.
