Just 3-7 in their last 10 games. But they are swinging hard. That's what matters. Even if you only get 3 hits. Even if the other team gets 14 hits and only one goes 250’+…

Double Plays Turned as SS 1. Crawford • SEA 59 2. Kiner-Falefa • TEX 49 3. Story • COL 47 4. Bogaerts • BOS 46 5. Baez • CHC 42 One the other hand, MLB lead in errors for a SS: Tatas, Jr. - 17 Baez- 14 Torres and others -12 I can tell you, by my eyes, Javier Baez of the Cubs gets to many more balls than Torres. I haven’t watched Tatis enough to have an opinion. Baez may be available next season and he has plenty of power and is an athletic defender, but he is as free of a swinger as you’re to see in MLB, and he rarely walks, leading to a poor OBP.

King fans 9 in 4 innings work. The only full-time starter we have that might do that is Cole… His stuff is real. His focus needs to improve. I never understood why he was ranked below Clarke Schmidt, but it could be his occasional moments of distraction.

I go for a walk, come back and its 8-1 Mets? Just miserable. I fell asleep when it was 0-0 and woke up to 8-0, then I went to the store to make groceries (New Orleans phrase) and cook supper.

Not all of that was on Wilson. Bloops snd bleeders. Just got into no man’s land… 7.50+ ERA and climbing. They sent Abreu down for Wilson but at least Albert has potential. In his brief call ups this season, Abreu has 12 strikeouts in 12.2 innings, a 2.13 ERA and a WHIP of 0.711.

Michael “Fried Catfish” King has thrown 48.1 innings and has 48 strikeouts. He has a 3.72 ERA and a WHIP of 1.39. He should be in the regular rotation, but as long as Boone keeps pulling starters in the fifth inning, he may have to remain a spot starter and long man.

I didn’t look at anyone else’s range ratings, just # of dps and fielding pct… Baez OBP would be of almost no concern to me if he is a strong defender. If he offers more offense than Tyler Wade, I’d be happy…

What kind of mitts and veggeta tables do you serve small morsels of at exhorbitant prices?… Do you also do that with Arthropoda and sea creatures? Any monkey parts, perhaps?… Is your meat AKC registered? …

Baez is fun to watch play shortstop. A tough, fiery guy that plays with passion and his heart on his sleeve. We need some of that… The guy I love on the Cubs is Willson Contreras. Excellent defensive catcher with an absolute cannon and quick release. He’s a leader and catches almost everyday. He never wants off the field (much like Jeter), and he may be the most athletic catcher I’ve seen. He can run the bases and plays all out, all the time. Tough and INTENSE.
