Runners on first and second after a single by Urshela.
No double play!

Higgy gets under one to end the inning.
That slow loopy curve from Greinke is so irritating.

Is Greinke HOF bound? Career ERA+ of 125, which is the same as HOFers Jim Palmer, John Smoltz, Lefty Gomez and Dazzy Vance. And he has more wins than any of those guys save Palmer.

Without a doubt. He’s deserving, and fighting his mental demons on the route makes him all the greater. We still don’t know the end of his story either. He’s a true pitcher. He’s throwing stuff up there at 62 MPH and getting people out. He might even eventually get into el Tiante territory with a 47 MPH curve ball. Based on physics alone, I don’t know what the minimum speed that would be required to reach the plate with a pitched ball, but I suspect Tiant was getting close to the limit at times. More thoughts want to come out about the proposed new mound distance of 61’6”… I’m trying to hold back… here they come… No. not yet. Wrong time and place… I think. Stop. Can’t say it right now…

Damn. Great play by Kaybli's favorite player to get Locastro. He's cheating in the field somehow.

Can’t say it right now… I've heard 40-something mph is the minimum to get it to the plate. Remember that guy for about 2 years threw his fastball in the low 70's. Think he won 20 one year. Randy Jones, maybe? Padres?

I think if he came up with a team like the Yanks or Red Sox, instead of the Royals, he'd be a lock already. He probably is anyway, since he's been that good.
