My preference is to have Florial play centerfield for the next 60 games between Judge and Gallo. Let them get to know each other’s tendencies, ranges, vectors, steps, and voices to meld as a unit. Of course, I fully expect the Yankees to send Florial back to AAA to wonder if he’ll ever get a shot until he’s 30. Cashman seems to give players like Tauchman oodles of rope and let talent like Florial languish until they lose the spark they were born with.

I have become a new Joey Gallo fan, and hope that somehow he can cut down on strikeouts. I give Cashman and the Steins credit for doing something. Change can give hope to depressed fans, and hope is all I've got for now.

The gunslinger hired by the townspeople just as all hope seemed to be lost. Josey Wales. Ain’t no five men can take Josey Wales. Ain’t no kid pitcher with a 5.00 ERA ever gonna shut us down again. Yep. We’re getting our town back! Despite what happened today, 14-0 or 1-0, or 8-7, it only counted as one loss. I imagine a lot of Yankees might be wondering what their future might hold. Time to gel after the smoke clears tomorrow… and Joey puts the pistols on, and teaches the townspeople how to get mean… |

This is what organizations that are a good at developing prospects would do. I doubt the Yankees even consider it. |
